The Holiday in Vermont Summer 1999

In the Summer of 1999 we visited America for the first time as a family. Michael and John had been before, but for Mary and I it was a new experience.

We arrived at Boston Airport and stepped out of the plane into a humid 90 degrees plus.

It was rush hour in Boston when we left, driving the fabulous Isuzu Rodeo Hire car (with air conditioning of course!)

This was not a particularly good time to try driving a completely different vehicle to my Renault saloon, on the wrong side of the road, for the first time in a foriegn country whilst trying to map read our way out of Logan airport and to our hotel some 15 miles north.

We made it without too many problems and stayed overnight before driving on up to Stowe in Vermont the next day.

We had a terrific holiday and here are some of the photographs we took.
